Wow. Helluva game! And nice for once to see the Phillies make the crucial mistakes to lose a game.I will admit that in the 8th the ghosts of Phillies/Mets games past started to swirl around my brain, and I became convinced that weaselly little Shane Victorinio was going to trot home with the tying run. But it was, happily, not to be!! Pedro Feliciano bore down, got the outs, and K-Rod slammed the door in the ninth. Sweet!
It was real nice to see the Mets win a game like this against the Phillies. Another one tonight would be even nicer. :)

Big thanks to ESPN for showing the Mets more than almost every other team. I'd hate to be an out-of-market KC fan or Seattle or Colorado or many others.
Great game indeed but a problem with a pitching duel like this is 1 wrong pitch can so easily mean another loss. I do love a pitching duel, I LOVE when a pitcher has a low ERA, but I think I'd rather have a win that's a little easier to come by (less stress!)
Now... winning 7 or 8 out of 10 would be a good way to get the Mets to a better place in the standings.
