Philadelphia 2, N.Y. Mets 8 at Shea Stadium
Philadelphia Record: (4-5)
N.Y. Mets Record: (3-4)
Winning pitcher - Mike Pelfrey (1-0)
Losing pitcher - Kyle Kendrick (1-1)
A game where the little breaks phinally went the Mets way. And a nicely pitched game from Pelfrey. Now let's see him pitch a few of those in a row.
I must admit, after the Mets loaded the bases in the first and second innings and came away with 1 measly run, I thought that this game would be the same old thing...But they came through with some hits when they needed them...It was nice to see.
Though I must admit, even with a 6 run lead, with the way Mets-Philles games have gone lately, I was not able to exhale until Muniz got the final out. this one was definitely not over till it was OVER !!!
And now, not to be a Negative Nancy, but they need a win tonight. Johnny Maine needs to rebound from Saturday and pitch us a strong game tonight. Let's go Mets !!!!

I wasn't that impressed. Philly had a bad game.
Zooma-Yeah, but the Mets have had all of the bad games against the Phillies lately.
i think the Phillies have a GREAT offense, and I will take any win against them. The last 9 games, every single bounce and break has gone the Phillies way. I looka at Wednesday(and now Thursday as well) as evidence that Maybe the Mets have turned the tide a little bit.
