Philadelphia 3, N.Y. Mets 4 at Shea Stadium
Philadelphia Record: (4-6)
N.Y. Mets Record: (4-4)
Winning pitcher - Jorge Sosa (1-0)
Losing pitcher - Tom Gordon (0-2)
Okay, that's two in a row !!! And another game that last year, the Mets would have lost to the Phillies. As the game went on, i became more and more convinced that the Phillies would win, stabbing me in the heart. But it was not to be. The Mets got two two out hits( One by Reyes-is he finally waking up ? He stole a base too) in the bottom of the 12th, and pulled out a victory.
I know Phillie Phans are playing up the fact that Rollins wasn't in the game, but injuries are part of the game. We don't have Pedro or Alou, and we have not had Duaner Sanchez, the anchor to our bullpen for a year and a half.
All I know is that these last two games were BOTH games that over the last nine with the Phillies, the Mets would have found a way to lose, much like they did with the game on Tuesday, but they won the BOTH, and excuse me if I am going to take something positive from that.
Bring on the Brew Crew !!!!

Excitement for the Mets!? for Heilman also?
Gotta be so happy for Willie Randolph for putting Heilman in again. 2 appearances in last 3 games...
2 IP | 4 H | 4 BB | 1 HR | 4 ER
Nice!!!!!!
Oh wait, forgot to include one Blown Save.
I haven't read MLB news today... has he been released yet? Whatever happened to sending under-performers down to AAA? That for the rookies only? Should be for every dillhole who can't get through an inning.
I loved the comeback win!!!!! But the Blown Save makes me sick.
I'm now having those feelings again of resentment towards expansion years ago... there just aren't enough great pitchers to make things beautifully competitive. Instead there are losers in every bullpen who wouldn't have a job above AAA before Tampa and Florida and Denver and Arizona came along.
put Heilman in ONE MORE TIME and Willie needs to be fired.
