Ambres For President !!!!

Wow !! Could that game yesterday have made me any more bi-polar ? Kee-Rist !!!

It was such a roller coaster ride. For the first time in I can't remember how long, I actually did NOT feel that they were out of the game, down by 2 in the 8th. Even after El Duque let the Dodgers go back up 4-2 after Wright tied it. I just felt like they could actually score a couple of runs when they needed to, something they haven't done in...well, as I said earlier, I don't know how long. I guess the crazy balk game against the Giants ?
But they did it yesterday, and against a good team, too. Overall, a good road trip, against what many seem to say are the two best teams in the National League.(Though at the end of business yesterday, the Mets were tied with the Brew Crew for the best record in the NL).
But that game yesterday. Ay-yi-yi !!! Tie it in the ninth. Go ahead in the tenth on a hit by a guy that hasn't ahd a hit in 2 years, and then the bottom of the tenth, Jiminy Christmas !! Man, was I cursing Shawn Green. But Wagner didn't let it shake him, he still struck out Kemp and Nomaaaaar. Just a great win, a great series against the Dodgers(minus the loss of Valentin- that hurts.). AND, the Braves lost to the Cards !! Sweet.
Now we just need to take care of bidness against the Pirates and the Nationals this week. And we get Alou back for tomorrow night. I'm starting to have a good feeling about this.

Who is this guy? Is he even American? Has even held public office of any kind? Is he qualified to be President???

One thing's for sure, he'll probably be headed back to Metarie to rejoin the Zephyrs soon but it's always good to have a temporary AAA fill-in to take up the slack when the regulars aren't doing so hot.

Mets are finally once again best in the N.L. (tied with Milwaukee, not that that matters but it's nice to be BEST overall) but they're not in the clear yet.

Nice loss last night for Atlanta but they're still keeping up, for the most part. I've got faith in the Amazin's but me and a few million other Mets fans will start feelin' a whole lot better with a bigger lead!

P.S. pretty cool recent pic of new stadium construction.

on the webpage it comes from, they're very clear in pointing out, just in case you don't know, Shea Stadium is on the left and the new [corporately named] Field is on the right.

a.k.a.- I would love a bigger lead too, but after the Dodger series , it's the frist time in a few weeks that I am starting to feel like the Braves are chasing us again, and not like we are falling back to them. Believe me, i would love a 10 or 12 game lead, but right now I'l settle for getting back to winning series. And I feel like they can do that.
Oh, and I cannot see the picture.
