I heard on ESPN this morning that the NYE MEts had not won the opeing game of a West coast road trip in 21 years. That is just a crazy stat...And one that is no longer true! The very agressive on the basepaths Mets swiped 7 bases and beat the San Francisco Giants 7-4.
I went to bed with the Mets leading 4-2. I guess the Giants tied it in the 8th, but the Mets scored 3 in the 9th to take the game.
I gotta say, i like the agressiveness on the basepaths, I like Carlos Beltran stealing 3rd again. David Wright with a couple of big hits, including the elusive "clutch" double in the ninth. Good win.
