I'll Take It

Not a pretty win, a win against the Nationals, but a win nonetheless. and I suppose it's further proof why Santana is worth what we gave up/paid him. There was not a pitcher last year that you could be "sure" would stop a losing streak. Santana definitely has that feel to him. Obviously, he is not going to win every game he pitches, but you get the feeling that he will step up and give the Mets the chance to win, especially in games that matter(i.e.-Philly last Friday, stopping a 3 game losing streak).

Also, as much as the Nats did throw the ball around last night, the Mets aggressiveness surely had something to do with that as well. Now we just need Delgado to start hitting the damn ball.
