So, the Mets finally cut ties with two guys who have needed to be shown the door for awhile now.
I don't really believe that their release will really do a lot in the short term, but I will be honest, it just feels good to not have them on the Mets anymore.Their contracts were such glaring symbols of what the Mets do(or hopefully, DID) wrong so much of the time the last couple of years.
The team still has a long way to go, and while I think this lawsuit brought against the Wilpons is a little ridiculous, I would be lying if I said that I was not intrigued by the concept of them being forced to sell the club.
Either way, I think this will be a painful year to be a Mets fan, but at least I also feel like they have GM who has an eye on the future, and a pretty good core of players to work with.
