I was out of town over the weekend, so I'm gonna triple up here. Nice to take three out of four form the Dodgers. 5-2 on the homestand. Beltran seems to be heating up a little bit. Santana pitched really well on Sunday. Ryan Church came back in a big way. Reyes is on fire.
Now we need to carry it over to the West coast. I sure hope Ollie doesn't come out on Monday night and give up six runs in the first inning or something.

Let's Go Mets !

Paticus! Did you get to see the Sunday night game on ESPN? One of the best things was Church after his first AB in which is flied out or something, he was bummed, like severely bummed the camera clearly showed and all the while Jon & Joe were talking about the implications of concussions and guys who've had to retire because of them. Then his 2nd AB and the HR.... oh man, I felt the weight lifted off his shoulders and seeing Willie's smile when he got back to the dugout... priceless! But on ESPN, when a guy is in like a 1 for 27 slump and then he hits a homer, they always say, "What a way to break out of that slump!" But 1 HR when you're 1 for 27, that doesn't necessarily mean you're out of the slump. Ya know. So we'll still have to see about Church.... but man, what a GREAT game!! The perfect Mets game for 2008.

They sucked it up there for awhile... 4 in a row to the Braves is UNACCEPTABLE. Fortunately they didn't keep sliding, they've climbed back and their record is still pathetic... but spirits seem higher now. Just wish I had MLB Extra Innings to see tonight's game. Ahh well, with all the games Mets bias at ESPN, we'll get plenty more of nationally televised games. Compare that to Seattle or Arizona. HA! Suckers!

Zoooma- I was able to watch some of it. I drove all day back to Taly from Kentucky, and when i walked in the door, I turned on the Tee vee, it was tied 1-1, and by the time I was back from my second trip to unload the car, it was 5-1 or something. I guess i was the good luck charm!
then I watched the rest of the game off and on while unpacking and stuff.
