I did notice that Mike Hampton didn't even make it onto the mound last night.
that's a shame. A real, real, real shame. I'm crying inside...I really am.
Big series against Los Bravos---I would like a sweep. Willie, could you take care of that for me ?

Hey, do you find that you pay gobs more attention to the NL than the AL? I mean, I watch Baseball Tonight and Sportscenter almost religiously (I could easily call them 2 of my 3 favorite TV shows) but when they talk about the NL, I always seem to pay more attention...
anyway -- Phils got their first win. Wasn't exactly handily... it was on a bases loaded walk!
Atlanta Jerkfaces -- lost 2 of 3 to Pittsburgh... to Pittsburgh!! HAAA!!
And part of me wants teams to be healthy, to really prove who's better, but another part of me is perfectly happy that Hampton went on the DL. Hampton for Pedro. Good.
Man, all I want is for them to go away, for Cox to retire, and for the Braves to draw like 10,000 a game (or less) as they wallow in the NL East CELLAR. Maybe someday my dream will come true.....
But this series, even if the Mets sweep, it won't mean much with so many to play between the two. I tell ya this -- gonna be fun to watch (when it's not nerve-wracking.) To me it'll be like a Playoff series in April. I just hate the Braves!!!! A sweep would be sweet but if we can take 2 of 3, okay, not bad.
