N.Y. Mets 13, Florida 0 at Dolphin Stadium
N.Y. Mets Record: (2-1)
Florida Record: (1-2)
Winning pitcher - Oliver Perez (1-0)
Losing pitcher - Andrew Miller (0-1)
Okay, that's more like it. Now, I can be sure that the Mets will not lose another game. God bless, Willie and Omar, and all of the fine Mets players.
oh, and Beltran was robbed of a homer last night. How could that ball have hit anything but the metal railing ? Have you ever seen a ball bounce like that after hitting padding ? It bounced like 90 feet in the air ! That was ridiculous.
But how about that bomb that Wright hit ? Jiminy Christmas...There was no calling that one back.
Ollie pitched well, good to see.

Church had a good game. I wonder if he will play exceptionally well on Sundays ? that might be something to track.

4-6 weeks for Pedro to be gone. I think they will be okay without him for awhile. I'll be curious to see if they go after someone like Claudio Vargas to fill the void. it might not be a bad idea with both Pedro and El Duque seeming fragile, and not knowing what the hell Pelfrey's gonna do.

Wow, look at that, daily post so far AND pictures from the game ... you're an official Mets blogger now! (Holy cow, there are so many, and a few get like 50+ comments for every post, just crazy!)
Anyway, good game, yeah, but remember who they were playing--- almost a Little League team.
Just saw a commercial for Mets-Braves on the big station on Saturday -- Fox. I hate regional games, means I won't get it... ahhhh, but then again, hopefully MLB Extra Innings will still be free!
My excitement's high, my friend! Just hope the Mets can sustain it!!
I know it was only the Marlins, and really, they should have won all three, but it is early. I look at it this way, they started oof last year with a sweep, and look how that ended.
I will probably get to watch it, but that means I have to listen to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver...Ugh! I think i actually like the Braves announcers more.
