NYM HR -
PHI HR - P. Feliz (3) C. Utley2 (8)
Yes, a sweep would have been nice, but as losses go(especially losses to the Phillies), this one was not all that bad. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap,a s the other team has a slightly better game than you do. And Utley is a monster...Stupid jerk.
On the plus side, it was nice to see Pelfrey actually battle, and keep the game relatively close.
I don't know, I feel like things are actually looking up a little bit, and that made this loss far less painful than I would have expected. I might feel differently down the road. we'll see.
Bring on the Cubs !!!

The first two wins against the Phils really began to indeed make the season thus far a lot less painful... and you're dead on, the loss last night -- not so bad even if it was against Philly. That was a sweet rally to score 4 in the 6th... and the Top of the 9th, holy cow, like Playoff baseball tryin' to at least tie it.
The key to Mets-Braves and Mets-Phils is ALWAYS taking at least 2 of 3. Losing 2 of 3 is A) pathetic and B) not a sign that the Mets want October baseball bad enough. Ya know what, lose 2 of 3 to San Diego or Colorado or Milwaukee... but not Atlanta or Philly! NO!
Anyway, we'll see. For now -- lookin' forward to ESPN tonight.
Gotta love their bias for NY teams! I've been meaning to keep track but behind Yankees and Red Sox, Mets are probably #1 for nationally televised games and for me that's sweeeeeet!
