Well, i was kidding about cheering for the Phils but... perhaps in the future it could happen, an instance where you want the Phillies to win. Like if the Mets are in first and the Phillies beating the Braves would put some breathing space between 1st and 2nd place. Or Mets are in 2nd and if the Phillies beat someone, that'll help the Mets get towards or into 1st... it is possible in this wickedly frustrating game.
Truly, at this point in time, and it kills me to say this -- the Mets do not deserve to play in the postseason... but the Phillies do.
